CREATING EXHIBITIONS

I have been involved in selecting, organizing and mounting contemporary art exhibitions since 1992.

SPRINGBOARD GALLERY

Together with Paul Rosenblatt, I have co-directed the exhibition activities of our company Springboard Design. Our current location on 5125 Penn Avenue in Pittsburgh has a storefront gallery and lovely street presence. We are always looking to support artists and also feature our own art from time to time.

juror, panelist & INDEPENDENT CURATOR

I have the great pleasure to be asked to jury many art exhibitions and am especially excited to be the next juror for Artist as Quiltmaker XX in 2024. After Quilt National’17, Q=A=Q’19 and Quilt Visions 2022, this will be my fourth review of a major art quilt exhibition.

HEWLETT GALLERY 1992-1999

Upon finishing my graduate degree in arts management, Carnegie Mellon kept me on campus to direct the College of Fine Arts' Hewlett Gallery. For eight seasons, mounting between eight and fourteen exhibitions a year, I planned and managed collaborative, multi-disciplinary and site-specific art exhibits in science, visual and performing arts, as well as experimental shows with new media and technology in graphic, industrial and architectural design.

REGINA GOUGER MILLER GALLERY 2000-2003, 2007/8

As the founding director of the Regina Gouger Miller Gallery in the new Purnell Center for the Arts at Carnegie Mellon University, I helped create three distinct floors of exhibition space (over 8000 square foot). In 2000, the Hewlett Gallery programming was relocated to the Miller Gallery which has since served as Carnegie Mellon's main contemporary art gallery.
